About the Job:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Stitcher – Costume & Wardrobe at Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

  • Communicate effectively with Costume/Wardrobe Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Repair, maintain, and alter costumes and wardrobe items using hand stitching, machine stitching, gluing, rhinestone application, and other required techniques. 
  • Support costume production for shows and special events, including pattern making, stitching, gluing, painting, and finishing work within deadlines. 
  • Attend fittings, take alteration notes, and ensure costumes and uniforms are adjusted accurately as required. 
  • Follow safety requirements and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment. 
  • Assist with daily operational needs such as dressing performers, laundry duties, and organizing uniforms when required. 
  • Produce uniforms as needed using company-provided tools and within agreed timelines. 
  • Maintain professionalism when working with colleagues, performers, and vendors, while keeping weekly work records updated for Team Leads/Supervisors.

 

About you:

  • 5 years plus experience in costume production shop as a stitcher for Theme Parks, University, Cruise Lines or Live Theatre
  • Expertise in sewing/tailoring, cutting/fitting Pattern making
  • Experience on industrial straight stitch, zig zag, overlock, blind hem and buttonhole sewing machines.
  • Able to create costume patterns from the design
