Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible to implement and manage the QA/QC (Quality Assurance/ Quality Control) function to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices within the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to section head in implementing comprehensive quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) plans for, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
- Monitor a team of QA/QC inspectors, providing clear instructions and support to ensure consistent and accurate quality assessments.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, materials, installations, and finishes, identifying and documenting any deviations from specifications or standards.
- Develop and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), outlining identified issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Track and monitor the resolution of NCRs, ensuring timely and effective implementation of corrective measures.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, architects, and engineers to address quality concerns and collaboratively implement solutions.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends to predict and prevent potential issues, proactively improving QA/QC processes.
- Manage and control QA/QC budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on current industry regulations, codes, and best practices in construction and quality management.
- Prepare and present comprehensive quality reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Foster a culture of quality within the organization, promoting awareness and buy-in for QA/QC principles.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a quality assurance/quality control role within the construction or real estate industry.
- Min 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing QA/QC plans for complex projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, providing effective training and feedback.
- Keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality standards.
- Proficient in relevant software applications for managing QA/QC data and documentation.
